Review 02/10/2012

Another product from the respected Steve Davidson publishing house and as is often the case the initial impression is one of simplicity. The strategy employed is explained well and can be followed by those with all levels of betting competence. We have remained with the leagues that are mentioned as forming the basis for the system when testing here but I see no reason why other leagues should not have similar results and users could easily test this with a modest time investment and paper trading.

The system seeks to identify potential drawn matches and has a specific selection process to identify these. When this has been done the bets are then placed in the correct score market for each of the scores up to 4-4 which seems pretty sure to cover all but the most bizarre games. A stake of 1 point per score is placed making 5 in all and you sit back to see if the draw comes in.

We had to wait for the start of the European season for any matches to be qualifying and have had 2 international weekends as well so the initial sample is pretty small at just 25 games. As would seem likely the non draws outweigh the draws but a strike rate of 36% is a significant improvement on the average 26% across the leagues recommended (English Premier, Scottish Premier, Bundesleague and Champions League).

What you are really looking for is the high scoring draws where the odds are very high and where the good profits are to be seen. Our best to date is a 2-2 draw at odds of 36 as a consequence of which the bank is showing a modest overall profit on the trial so far.

It is suggested that omitting the 1-1 draw will provide a reduced risk over the season and thus you would be staking 4 points per match. If this were applied to our results the profit would have increased to 15 points over the period covered.

Thus far the signs are positive here and we will continue to monitor for a further period updating readers at the end of October. As a one off purchase the system will be very good value if the results shown last year are even remotely replicated. We will come to a firm recommendation at the next update point but as is usually the case with Steve’s products you get what is promised on the marketing and nobody has yet come up with a foolproof method of predicting future results as far as I am aware.
